Its that time of year again kids! The Buzzoutroom's 7th Birthday.
In the 7 years I've got to meet lots of great artists from all over the world and get to hear the station being played from my basement as I'm in other places in the world. Thanks for listening with me!
Here's some Buzzoutroom Stats:
Shoutcast Buzzoutrom Stats.
Currently ranked: #912 out of 24,552 stations (and climbing)
Number of tune-ins in the past 30 days:
120,619
Buzzoutroom is now listed in Media Player as well as your Nokia phone radio.
Size of playlist:
1546 songs
Playlist length: 138 hours 45 minutes 11 seconds
Then there's the weird stuff I throw in the odd time just to make you all go...WTF is he playing!?
What the Buzzoutroom wants for its birthday...
DONATIONS!!! after several years and several hundred $$$ a month and a couple of server blowups you could say I'm doing this out of love not for the money.
Also to celebrate the Birthday I've added a whole whack of new tunes that several great new artists have sent into the station. More on them later.
In the mean time...enjoy the tunez.
Cheers,
Sean

Ghostly Records have put a free downloadable compilation CD for the folks at Adult Swim (Venture Brothers Yeah!) and the Cartoon Network in the US. There's some pretty cool tracks on this release that's FREE as in Beer. You can download individual tracks or the entire CD HERE!
Be sure to go exploring on the Ghostly site there's some good finds with Buzzout-like artists available.
Cheers,
Sean

Well it was a pleasant surprise to find out that while doing a stopover in Toronto as ISO50 Scott managed to do a Tycho set at the Drake Hotel last night. In a packed house, for 55 minutes, he played tracks from his latest releases including Past is Prologue as well as some NEW tracks but on to that later...So before the show I managed to tip back a pint with the lad and ask him a bunch of questions about what's up for Tycho.
After joining Ghostly Records Scott has been busy moving the studio over to a completely analog setup. Including recording to tape and synth's from the 70's so he can continue to make the warm cozy sound of his music with out the in his words "cold sounding digital".
So with the new axes is there going to be a new album coming out?
Yup.
4 finished tracks so far including the beautiful single 'The Daydream' and once he's got the time to complete the rest which are rambling on in his head. As soon as I find out when its coming out I'll keep you posted!
Thanks for a great night!
Cheers,
Sean
