The Buzzoutroom NOW PLAYING: Hideo Kobayashi - Shiroi Mayu (Yellow Diamond's Main Mix)
Greetings from Hanoi...

Hello there from Hanoi! Just chillin in the airport and checking up on the station and thought I'd say 'hi'. Glad things are running smoothly! I have admit it is pretty cool being on the other side of the world and listening to the station. Checked out this place called Brothers Cafe in Hanoi, an escape from the frenzied traffic and pollution listening to Thievery corporation almost felt like home! Vietnam is a pretty incredible place, here's a shot from Halong Bay which is on the list to be one of the 7 new natural wonders of the world. Next stop Hoi An then to Tokyo then back to the real world.
Cheers,
Sean

New Release: Bob Holroyd - RE:
The 1st of Bob Holroyd's latest project RE: has just been released. "RE: - re:cycled re:mastered re:worked" is the first of 3 releases which will be breathing new life into some already popular tracks from Holroyd himself.
Haven't heard him you say? Well if you've ever watched Lost, Friends, Ace Ventura, Sopranos, The Secret Millionaire among others you have.

Soundscape Music sent us the 1st release of this ongoing project where there are some stunningly beautiful tracks. He's fused his ambient work with the Bushmen of the Kalahari as well as a track 'Call to Prayer' with Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens). Overall this is a release which paints a scene in my mind with its sound, I just wish I could take a picture of it and post it here. I'm sure I'd win a photo contest or two.

The 2 remaining releases:

"re:mixed re:constructed re:worked" act to uptempo, house and tribal remixes by Nitin Sawhney, Frederic Galliano, Dzihan and Kamien, and Romanthony, reworkings, new tracks and mixes, and featuring the club classic mix of ‘African Drug’ by Coldcut. Release date July 6th 2009

"re:invented re:examined re:defined" is a downtempo release due September 7th 2009 details soon.

In the mean time you can hear select tracks from the new release on the Buzzoutroom and purchase the albums HERE or on iTunes.

Cheers,
Sean

Happy Birthday Buzzoutroom!!!
Well time for yet another birthday for the Buzzoutroom!

The station started back in 2003 when there we're many stations on Shoutcast. Now iTunes has stepped into the picture this past year and the listeners have taken off even more
Here's some stats on the station you may not know about.

Position on Shoutcast Directory out of 20,000+ stations: 391
Number of Tune-ins last month: 160,470
How much bandwidth Buzzoutroom uses with 400 listeners: 55MBps

There's big things coming for internet radio in general. XM and Sirius are slowly becoming redundant as you can now listen to many great internet stations for free, over your phone on the go...in your car...while you're on a run. Why pay for a subscription when you can listen for free just as easy as Terrestrial radio?

Internet radio is in its infancy right now just go to your iTunes or Shoutcast and just look at what's available! Think you'll hear even 5% of that on Terrestrial radio?

Thanks for tuning in! Please Donate to keep us running!

Cheers,
Sean

Two great releases for 2009 - Buy these now.
TOSCA - No Hassle
I've had the pleasure of having a listen to Tosca's latest release. Its been a little while since we've heard form Richard Dorfmeister and Rupert Huber but it was WELL worth the wait. This latest project, No Hassle is a masterful collection of lush sound that just pulls you in. Fan-Tastic. One of the best of 2009 so far.
I got my pre-release with a nice Tosca Shirt which you can purchase at www.k7store.com The album also comes with a bonus live CD taken from their Ars Electronica performance in Linzer Dom, Austria.

Boozoo Bajou - Grains
Another great release from !K7 Records Boozoo Bajou has released Grains consisting of live instruments, electro as well as several stunning guest vocals which gives you that...peace love harmony feeling. Is Electrofolk a word? I think this would define it. Again another release to check out, there's some great vibe to discover.

You can get any of these releases on iTunes or Amazon but I'd recommend purchasing when possible off of the artist or label websites. That way you ensure the label or artist gets the most of your money. You can purchase these releases at www.K7store.com
